NASA still to launch EM-1 rocket in 2019

13.11.17

NASA remains optimistic about the launch of EM-1 rocket on Mars in 2019, despite the technical problems with the first attempts to launch. According to the review of the possible manufacturing and production schedule risks, it’s not likely to fly until summer 2020. However, NASA engineers intend to launch the rocket by December 2019 in case of competent risk management.

The full name of the unmanned mission is Exploration Mission-1. Its goal is to lay the foundations for first people on Mars. The mission is slated for 2023. NASA is keeping EM-2 rocket on schedule to meet all deadlines.
