NASA launches satellites for remote probing of the Earth

Starting from today, NASA begins the launch of satellites to the low earth orbit that will probe our planet remotely. The total number of satellites to be launch is 24, having 6 different observatory missions. One of the main areas of study is a detailed research of climate changes.

All satellites are quite small and will work both individually and in groups. The launch of separate devices and their groups is scheduled for the next 3-4 years.

On November 11, 2016 with the help of Atlas V satellite launcher, there will be the launch of the satellite, equipped by the DigitalGlobe company. NASA will add its scientific tool as the secondary task.

The next step of the project will include the launch of 8 satellites on the 12th of December. They will form a group on the orbit, providing more accurate meteorological forecasts regarding the formation of storms, typhoons and hurricanes, as well as predicting their further motion path.
